Overview

A fantastic weekend in the Peak District, ideal for improving your climbing skills, is the UK’s mecca for rock sport. Everyone is welcome.
Two days of climbing that will challenge you no matter what your level of experience with hundreds of climbs on offer all set in spectacular surroundings making this is a trip not to be missed.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

The Rock UK minibus will be leaving Carroty Wood at 8am on Saturday and we will reach the Peaks at around 1pm. On arrival we will be heading straight to a crag and the afternoon will be spent climbing and abseiling. Around 6pm we will be go to the camp site for dinner followed by a relaxed evening at the pub or back at camp, it’s really up to you.

Day 2

Following breakfast we will break camp and take a short drive to another crag for some more climbing and abseiling. The Rock UK minibus will travel back to Carroty Wood at around 2-3pm and arrive at approximately 7pm.

Important Information

  • Mini bus transport is available from our Carroty Wood centre in Kent or alternatively we can meet you at the campsite if travelling independently.
  • All specialist climbing equipment will be provided.
  • Instructors will set climbs and abseils to suit the ability level of the group ensuring everyone enjoys their weekend.
  • The vast number of routes on offer means there will be something for everyone.
  • Climbing days are usually quite relaxed and there will be time to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the views.
  • The campsite is ideally situated with suitable facilities, on site cafe, a nearby pub and village shop within walking distance.
  • You will need to provide your own camping & cooking kit, food for lunches, dinner and breakfast. Bring a waterproof jacket and trousers, some warm clothing and a day sack. Trainers are fine for climbing but bring climbing shoes if possible.
